Dave, M5TXJ, is building another PIC-a-STAR.

This time using a P2a Version PCB set.

Dave is well advanced with fitting parts as you can see. Dave will be using one of the relatively cheap 38.88MHz OCXO's found on ebay, around Jan 2014.

Band pass Filter area yet to be populated, along with a few minor parts.

.

This is how Dave adapted the ebay 38.880MHz OCXO to STAR. The original footprint on the PCB, is for an OCXO which appears to be no longer available.

The multiply factor can then be set in the Trxavr software using Hobcat, to bring the 38.880MHz up to a more suitable frequency.
